This Privacy Policy explains what data Cozinha Veg collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have, in accordance with Brazil's LGPD (Law 13.709/2018) and, where applicable, the GDPR.
1. Who is the data controller
Cozinha Veg is the controller of personal data processed through the site and app. To exercise your rights or ask questions about privacy, contact us at contato@cozinhaveg.com.br.
2. Data we collect
Account data: name, email and password (stored as a hash, never in plain text). Usage data: favorited recipes, pantry items ("What do I have?"), comments, likes and ratings. Technical data: IP address, browser type and cookies. If you are an influencer, we also collect your public profile information and links.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to: create and maintain your account, personalize recipe recommendations, enable login and password recovery, respond to contact messages, measure site performance and, when you consent, show relevant ads.
4. Cookies and tracking
We always use essential cookies (login, language). Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and marketing cookies (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google AdSense) are only loaded after your consent, given via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can review or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookies" link in the site footer.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with service providers necessary to operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, image storage) and, with your consent, with analytics and advertising providers (Google, Meta, TikTok). These partners have their own privacy policies.
6. Storage and security
Passwords are stored using cryptographic hashing (bcrypt) and never in plain text. Uploaded images (recipes, avatars, covers) are kept in a dedicated object storage service. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% infallible.
7. Your rights
At any time, you may request: access to your data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your account and associated data, and export (portability) of your data. To exercise these rights, use the Profile page (delete account) or write to contato@cozinhaveg.com.br.
8. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required by legal obligation (e.g., tax records).
9. Children
Cozinha Veg is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from this age group. If we identify an account belonging to a child under 13, it will be removed.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes to the service or applicable law. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this page.
